Sat 18th May: Beginners Fused Glass. NOW FULL

With Maggie Barton in her Pirton Studio. Create your own fused glass panel (approx 15x15cm).

Leave it with Maggie to fire in the kiln, and collect from the gallery a week later. 11-1.30pm £50pp

 

Friday 24th May: Observational Drawing. NOW FULL

Working from a variety of still life objects, learn some basic drawing techniques. With Sarah. 2-4pm £12.50pp

 

Sat 25th May: Klimt - Colour and Patterns in Art.

Looking at the decorative works of Gustav Klimt, produce your own mixed media painting on canvas. With Emmeline. 11-2pm £40pp

 

Sun 26th May: Mary Feddon - Still Life with Lemons. 

An acrylic painting session on canvas, inspired by the works of Mary Feddon. With Kate. 11-2pm £40pp

Saturday 1st June: Hockney Landscapes NOW FULL

Using acrylics on canvas, create your own Hockney inspired landscape painting.

In this relaxing, informal workshop; learn painting techniques and colour mixing. With Kate. 11-1pm, £20pp.

Learn the basics of oil painting in this relaxing workshop. Taking inspiration from the bees buzzing around the Hitchin Lavender fields,

Friday 14th June: Illustration for Beginners - In the Kitchen NOW FULL

A fun and relaxed workshop where an imaginary brief will be set for you to interpret with help and guidance from our tutors.

Use a range of mediums including watercolour, drawing pens, ink and collage.

This session’s brief: Taking inspiration from everyday kitchen utensils and ingredients,

find the designer in you to produce an illustration suited for a re-useable carrier bag.

With Emmeline and Sarah. 2 - 4.30pm, £25pp.

 

Saturday 15th June: Monet’s Waterlilies NOW FULL

Using acrylics on canvas, take inspiration from Monet’s famous series of Waterlilies and paint your own version.

In this relaxing, informal workshop; learn painting techniques and colour mixing. With Kate. 11-1pm, £20pp.

 

Saturday 29th June & Sunday 30th June: A Colour Fuelled Weekend

Learn all you need to know about colour, to help with creative and decorative projects.

Day 1: Create colour wheels and explore the use of complimentary colours, learn the difference between tints,

shades and hues, warm and cool colours. Experiment creating a wide variety of greys and blacks....which are never quite what they seem.

Day 2: Developing your skills from day 1, you will paint on canvas to create a colour fuelled geometric, abstract painting.

A fun and relaxed workshop where an imaginary brief will be set for you to interpret with help and guidance from our tutors.

Use a range of mediums including watercolour, drawing pens, ink and collage.

This session’s brief: Produce an illustration for a gardening magazine using potted plants, garden tools and flowers for inspiration.

Using gelle plates we will teach you how this fun & creative tool can be used to produce simple mono prints and wonderful collage papers

An expressive and freeing exploration in the use of watercolours, with Kate. 11-2pm, £35pp

This session’s brief: Design a menu front cover for a new tea room, incorporating hand drawn text.

Working from a photograph you will be guided to produce a seascape painting on canvas.
