'Natural moments captured in Icelandic inspired ceramics'
Ceramic artist Andrew Macdermott has an inbuilt affinity with landscapes and the natural world which play out in interesting forms through his ceramics. Captured and sealed in a moment he forms views of rock pools, geysers and their surrounding landscapes inspired by the raw, unforgiving beauty of Iceland.
The ceramic pieces are fresh and new, fusing together glass and clay in an exciting way. Each piece is unique and individually glazed by hand.
His studio space, a converted garage at his home, has become the centre of his creative world.
